Too much of a good thing?

I've just now reached web 2.0/social networking overload. Everything is now linked to everything else, in an infinite loop.

I'm blogging here, this is my only island in a sea of interlinked stuff... Well, foo maybe not. This goes into friendfeed, which goes into facebook. Twitter goes to friend feed, and to facebook, and ff goes to facebook, so tweeks get to go into facebook twice. Then there's ping.fm, which promises to tie everything togeather yet again.

I'm reminded of the story The Bicycle, that classic story from that great work "Poppleton in Spring"...
